An ECG allows us to assess cardiac function by screening for arrhythmias, chamber enlargements, and sometimes subtle changes that are not noticeable on chest radiographs and exam.
When both an ECG and radiographs are combined, this allows for a more thorough diagnostic interpretation. We can also perform ECG's prior to anesthesia to assess anesthetic risk.
Using telemedicine, we are able to wirelessly perform an ECG on your pet to monitor your pet's cardiac function, which is then transmitted to a cardiologist who can then interpret and send their recommendations.
